FAQs

  • How do I sign up for a class?
    Submit a free trial form, email us at btcathletics@hotmail.com, call us at 620.249.2078 or create and account online here. We are happy to help you with the process!
  • What ages do you offer classes for?
    We have a large youth dance program, offering classes for dancers as young as 2 years old up through high school. We also offer adult fitness classes.
  • What’s the earliest age a dancer can start classes?
    We offer a class for dancers as young as walking-2 years old! It's our Ready-2-Dance class that lets a grown-up be with their dancer during class.
  • How do I know what class to enroll my child in?
    You can begin choosing a class for your child by figuring out what age range they fall into, and from there you can choose the dance style. If you need help choosing a dance style, contact us, and we will help you out!
  • Can I watch my child’s classes?
    Of course! In our waiting room, parents may watch classes through a livestream on a tv. Only students and teachers are allowed in the studio during class times.
  • How long is a class?
    Ready-2-Dance and Stars of Tomorrow Classes are 25 minutes. Studio (recreational) classes are 40 minutes. Competative FORCE Classes are 55 minutes.
  • Are there any other costs besides monthly class fees?
    There is a once-per-year registration fee of $25 per student due when they register for the new year. Costume fees are required for all dancers participating in the recital (average cost of $30-$55).
  • Do you accept enrollments throughout the year?
    Yes! We accept enrollments throughout the year. If you join us in the middle of a session, we will prorate that session’s fee.
  • Is my child too old to start dance classes?
    We offer classes for children and teens up to their senior year in high school! It's never too late to find a love of dance.
  • Is there a recital?
    Yes! We have a Christmas show in December as well as a spring show in May. Recitals are an amazing way for dancers to gain confidence and take pride in the progress they have made in class for the semester. If you do not wish for your dancer to participate in the recitals, there is an option to opt out.
  • How do I know what level to sign up my dancer for?
    All of our classes have a suggested age range to make picking a level easier. If you're still not sure, feel free to reach out to us via email at btcathletics@hotmail.com and we can help by listening and suggesting a class. With our free trial, the dancer can try a certain level to make sure it's the best fit for them.
  • Do you offer classes for adults?
    We have an Adult Cardio Drumming Class that is TONS of fun! It incorporates cardio work with music and basic dance moves. Learn more about it here
  • Do you offer classes for boys?
    Of course! We welcome all dancers, so all of our classes are open to boys.
  • How do you sign up for competitive dance classes?
    Competitive dance classes are audition only. Auditions usually take place in July. You can find out more about our F.O.R.C.E. Team here.
  • What should my dancer wear to a trial class?
    For a free trial, dancers should wear clothes that they can move in and closed-toed shoes with their hair back and secure. If trying an acro class, tighter fitting clothing such as a leotard are suggested if you already have one, but isn't required.
  • Where is BTC's studio?
    We are located at 112 E. Rose St., Suite B, in Pittsburg. We’re right across the street from Drop the H.
  • Where can I buy dance shoes and attire?
    Conveniently located inside of the studio is the Releve Dance Shop. We can take care of your needs for any shoes or dance attire needed for classes. If we don’t have your size, we can custom order for you!
  • What shoes do I need?
    For trials we only recommend closed-toed shoes. For more specific classes, see below: Ballet classes | you will need pink ballet shoes] Hip hop | inside only tennis shoes Jazz classes | jazz shoes Tap classes | tap shoes Contemporary and lyrical classes | dancers may wear pink ballet shoes, contemporary shoes, or be barefoot.
  • How do I pay my fees?
    You may pay your fees online through the parent portal, you may pay in person at the front desk, or over the phone during business hours at 620.249.2078. We also have autopayment options available through your parent portal.
  • Where are your recitals?
    Our recitals are held here in Pittsburg at the Memorial Auditorium located at 503 N. Pine.
  • Do you offer makeup classes?
    Yes! If for some reason your class is missed or canceled, you may make up that class in a different class that is within your dancer’s age range.
